French vs. Italian High Fashion- Quale Paese è Più Alla Moda?

With all this talk about Italian fashion, I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to talk about French fashion as well. While both countries dominate the fashion world, they both have stark differences that I will go into detail below.
Colori e Motivi
This is the most obvious difference between French fashion and Italian fashion. While French fashion incorporates subtle and neutral colors such as nero, bianco, crema, rosa pastello e marrone. Italian fashion on the other hand, uses bold colors such as rosa acceso, verde, viola, turchese e rosso. I modelli francesi sono semplici, eleganti e senza tempo, mentre i modelli italiani sono intricati, audaci e maxilisti.

2. Occasioni
French fashion is often associated with very formal or special occasions such as weddings whereas Italian fashion is much more casual and designed for day to day activities. La moda francese è solitamente indossata di notte, mentre la moda italiana e indossata durante il giorno.

3. Materiali
French fashion uses delicate materials such as tulle, satin, tweed, and silk to create abiti eleganti e femminili. Italian fashion incorporates more heavy and durable fabrics such as denim, leather, and even latex (Ti guardo, Versace). These heavier fabrics allow for garments to be worn on multiple occasions whereas many French garments sono indossato solo una o due volte.

Quindi, quale preferisco?
Mentre amo la moda francese, preferisco quella italiana perché amo i suoi disegni audaci e i colori vivaci. Mi piace esprimermi con i miei vestiti e la moda italiana me lo permette!
